Texas Medical Board Licensed Acupuncturist

Cupping

Cupping therapy is another ancient form of Traditional Chinese Medicine in which a therapist uses glass jars, warmed, placed on the skin for a few minutes to create suction on certain points of the body.

It is utilized for several purposes, including to relieve pain, decrease inflammation, and to activate blood flow and oxygenate tissues. Cupping generally induces relaxation and can be used with acupuncture or without simultaneous acupuncture.
